The Diocesan Religious Education Book Library is an important service of the Office. It contains books, pamphlets, and periodicals, as well as published catechetical programs for all levels. The books cover a broad range of subjects related to catechesis. The Library is a resource for persons throughout the diocese in all levels of catechesis. It provides material for personal growth as well as for enriching catechetical programs. The library is located in the basement of the Religious Education Office. A card catalogue of all the books in the library is maintained by office staff.
Regulations for Library Circulation:
Book for Loan - Books, catalogued for lending from the Library, are subject to the following regulations:
Books may be checked out for a period of three (3) weeks
Books ma either be picked up from the Library or they may be mailed to persons outside the Jefferson City area.
A book may be renewed for another two-week period if it is not on request by another party.
Books should be returned by the date due.
Reference Books - Reference books are marked "R" and are to be used only in the library.
Periodicals - Periodicals pertinent to the catechetical ministry are available for reference in the library. Periodicals may be used only in the library.
Catechetical Programs - Approved catechetical programs for all levels are shelved in the Library. These may be taken on loan for review for a period of one week. These resources are also subject to the above regulations.
Library Hours:
The Library is open during regular office hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. |
