Bequest - Bequest may be made through your will and include a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate.

Life Insurance - You may make the Catholic Diocese of Jefferson City the owner and beneficiary of your insurance policy or donate a life insurance policy that you are still making payments on. Premiums on both types of donation are deductible.

Securities - A gift of appreciated stock is most advantageous form of giving. If you've owned the stock for 12 months or more, you avoid the capital gains tax.

Real Estate - Similar to gifts of stock, if you've owned the property for 12 months or more, you avoid capital gains taxes and may deduct the property's fair market value.

Charitable Trusts - Funded with assets, earnings from lead trusts are contributed to the charity for the life of the trust with principal going to your beneficiaries with the principal paid to the charity upon the death of the last beneficiary.
