Our Mission
The Liturgical Commission works with other diocesan offices in preparing for the various diocesan liturgical celebrations throughout the year; the Rite of Election, the Chrism Mass, prayer and liturgies for Pastoral Days and the Priests' Institute. We also provide workshops on parish and regional levels, as requested. Consultations are also provided for any parishes planning to build or renovate churches or worship spaces.
We have a publication available from our office, Preparing a Catholic Marriage Ceremony which we produced a few years ago. We encourage all parishes to give this booklet to couples who are preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage. The cost is $1.00 per copy. Mrs. Roberta Bexten at the Chancery can arrange for copies to be sent or picked up at the Chancery Office in Jefferson City.
